THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Ephesians 2:8-9: “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.”

Blessings to All:
“Dear children, in this time of grace, anew, I am calling you to offer your lives to God that He may lead you towards the resurrection through your personal conversion. Little children, God is near to you and heeds your prayers, but you are lulled to sleep, and that is why He sent me to you to awaken you, and that you may shine holiness like a spring flower. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (With ecclesiastical approval)
The family is the foundation of the world, which brings forth children, teaching of moral values, respect for the worth of each person and the gift of Jesus Christ, our Savior to the hearts and souls through the workings of the Holy Spirit.
The demon thrown out of heaven is the foundation of lies, death, deception, and teaches those who fall into his web, that life is only worth money, power, selfishness, lust and to be destroyers of life in the womb.
God in His mercy, gives all peoples, free will. He gave us the knowledge to know good and evil even as children. We all knew certain principles, that it was wrong to hurt others or to take other’s things. As we grew up our parents guided us and taught us about God. Some parents did the opposite. They told their children, that there is no God and slowly destroyed the moral values that God put into every person.
Our prayers do make a difference.
There is a battle going on for souls. Please be a part of God’s plan of asking for His grace, through Jesus Christ, to protect your children, no matter how old they are. Pray every day, even if you don’t see any improvement in your children that may have lost their way. No prayer is wasted. We are all part of the battle that is raging around the world. The only remedy is through prayer. For this battle is a spiritual battle. And the stakes cannot be any higher. For God is reaching out to you to pray and be examples. The devil is present in the world, like no other time in history. You can identify those that follow him, for they have no respect for life in the womb and are found especially in government parties which support division and the killing of babies.
St Charbel Makhlouf the Miracle Monk
Two new miracles attributed to St. Charbel Makhlouf have been reported since the beginning of 2026 — one in the United States and one in Lebanon — each involving the healing of a woman against all medical expectation.
Revered by the faithful as the “doctor of the sky,” St. Charbel, a Lebanese Maronite monk and priest, is now associated with more than 30,000 reported miracles. From his hermitage in the mountains of Lebanon to hospital rooms across continents, his intercession continues to reach those in need, transcending borders, cultures, and generations.

A healing case from the United States
Attorney Georgianne Walker, born in South Bend, Indiana, in 1975, reported that she underwent abdominal surgery in December 2024, which was soon followed by a serious infection in the lower abdomen. The infection caused severe pain and persistent anxiety, requiring six weeks of antibiotic treatment. While the symptoms gradually subsided, the surgical wound remained open, inflamed, and unhealed.
Despite close monitoring by her surgeon and other medical professionals, the wound showed no improvement. For 10 months, Walker changed her dressings daily due to continuous bleeding. With no progress, her surgeon ultimately concluded that a second operation was necessary to remove the inflamed tissue and scheduled a new surgery.
In September 2025, Walker said she was visited by George Issa, a Lebanese friend who had been healed through the intercession of St. Charbel Makhlouf three years earlier. Issa brought with him a small vial of oil associated with the saint and encouraged her to pray for his intercession and anoint her wound with the oil.
The use of blessed oil has long been an established practice in the Eastern Christian tradition and continues to this day. In the case of St. Charbel, this ancient custom remains actively observed. Monks at the Monastery of Saint Maron in Annaya continue to bless oil using the saint’s relics and distribute it to the faithful who request his intercession for healing and other graces.
Walker stated that she prayed and applied the oil to the wound, after which it healed completely. She reported a full recovery and no longer required the scheduled surgery. She said she believed the healing occurred through the intercession of St. Charbel and expressed gratitude to both the saint and Issa for what she described as a life-changing event.
The healing was officially recorded on Jan. 17TH 2026.
A recovery without medical explanation in Lebanon
The second reported miracle of the year was recounted by Racha Charbel (no known relation to St. Charbel) born in 1987 in Jezzine, a mountain town in south Lebanon.
Racha was admitted to the hospital on Oct. 1, 2025, after experiencing severe back pain. An MRI scan conducted under the supervision of her treating physician, Dr. Christian Atiya, a specialist in neurosurgery and vascular surgery, revealed a tumor on the spinal column identified as a meningioma, measuring 2.3 centimeters in length and 0.3 centimeters in thickness.
According to her physician, the tumor was unresponsive to medication, posed a risk to the spinal nerves and blood vessels, and could only be treated through surgical removal. A follow-up MRI was scheduled three months later to monitor its progression, and a provisional hospital admission date of Jan. 7, 2026, was set should surgery be required.
Racha reported that on the night of Jan. 6, a picture of St. Charbel was hanging above her bed. She said she placed her hand on the image and asked for healing before falling asleep.
On the morning of Jan. 7, she returned to the hospital for the repeat MRI. She was informed that the examination would take approximately 45 minutes and could take longer if needed. The scan was completed in about 20 minutes and revealed an unexpected finding: The tumor had completely disappeared.
According to Racha, her doctor told her that there was no medical explanation for the disappearance and that such a tumor could not vanish without surgical intervention.
On Jan. 17, Racha Charbel made a thanksgiving visit to the Monastery of Saint Maron in Annaya, where she officially registered the healing and submitted the relevant medical reports. She later stated that the experience marked a turning point in her life and deepened her faith.
A saint and a river of mercy
The Lebanese saint, a priest and hermit monk of the Maronite rite, was widely known for intercessions attributed to him by Catholics, Muslims, and followers of other religions like the Druze.
St. Charbel died on Dec. 24, 1898. He was beatified by Pope Paul VI on Dec. 5, 1965, and was canonized by the same pontiff on Oct. 9, 1977.
In December 2025, Pope Leo XIV became the first pope to visit St. Charbel’s tomb during his trip to Lebanon. During the visit, the pope described the saint’s intercession as “a river of mercy,” recalling in particular the monthly pilgrimage held on the 22nd of each month in memory of a miracle granted to a woman named Nouhad El Chami — a devotion that continues to draw thousands of pilgrims.
Prayer to St. Charbel for Physical and Spiritual Healing
O Lord, you inspired Saint Charbel to live and die in the path of Jesus Christ.
O mighty God, you spread the power of Saint Charbel’s intercession through his
multiple miracles and marvels,
Grant through his intercession,
the petitions that I hold in the silence of my heart.

- The flesh has the same structure as heart tissue (myocardium) and the membrane of tissue lining cardiac cavities (endocardium). The flesh was also discovered as being fresh, as opposed to 1,200 years old, with no trace of preservatives.
- The globules of blood were also of human origin and determined to be of type AB. Further, while blood taken from a cadaver would deteriorate quickly, these samples continued to maintain the same properties of fresh blood.
The Miraculous Tilma of Our Lady of Guadalupe
The Tilma of Our Lady of Guadalupe stands as one of the most revered and enigmatic religious artifacts in the world. Preserved in the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City, this simple cactus-fiber cloak (tilma) bears the image of the Virgin Mary as she appeared to St. Juan Diego in December 1531. The apparition, approved by the Catholic Church, led to the mass conversion of millions of indigenous people in Mexico. What elevates the tilma beyond historical significance are its reported miraculous properties, many of which have intrigued scientists, astronomers, and ophthalmologists for centuries. These features—especially the depiction of constellations on Mary’s mantle—continue to spark wonder and debate.
Historical Context of the Apparition
In 1531, the Virgin Mary appeared four times to Juan Diego, an indigenous Aztec convert, on Tepeyac Hill near Mexico City. She requested a church be built in her honor. As proof for the skeptical Bishop Juan de Zumárraga, Mary instructed Juan Diego to gather roses (impossible in winter) in his tilma. When he opened it before the bishop, the roses fell away, revealing the miraculous image of Our Lady imprinted on the rough maguey cactus fabric. The tilma, made from fibers that typically disintegrate within 15–60 years, has endured nearly 500 years with minimal deterioration—a phenomenon unexplained by conventional science.
The Miraculous Image and Its Unexplained Properties
Scientific examinations since the 18th century (and more rigorously in the 20th and 21st) have highlighted several anomalies:
- No brush strokes or known pigments — Microscopic analysis shows no evidence of preliminary sketches, sizing, protective varnish, or typical paint (animal, mineral, or vegetable). The colors appear embedded in the fabric itself, defying replication attempts.
- Remarkable preservation — Despite exposure to humidity, candle smoke, and even a 1921 bombing attempt (which damaged nearby objects but left the tilma intact), the image shows no significant fading or decay.
- Temperature anomaly — Studies, including infrared analysis by biophysicist Dr. Philip Callahan (a NASA consultant) in 1981, reportedly found the image area maintains a constant temperature around 98.6°F (37°C), akin to human body heat—though some sources note this claim lacks universal verification.
- Reflections in the eyes — Ophthalmological exams reveal the eyes exhibit properties of a living human eye, including pupil contraction/dilation with light changes and the Purkinje-Sanson effect (refraction typical of a cornea). Digital enlargements show tiny reflections of about 13 figures (including Juan Diego presenting the tilma and Bishop Zumárraga), forming scenes impossible for a 16th-century artist to paint at such microscopic scale on a rough surface.
Other reported findings include a detectable heartbeat (around 115 bpm, like a fetal one) in the abdominal area via stethoscope in some examinations, though these are more anecdotal and not universally confirmed in peer-reviewed sources.

The Constellations on the Mantle: A Celestial Snapshot
One of the most striking features is the array of golden stars scattered across Mary’s turquoise mantle. Far from random decoration, astronomical analyses suggest they precisely map the night sky over Mexico City on December 12, 1531—the date of the final apparition.
Astronomers like Dr. Juan Hernández Illescas (in the 1990s and later studies) used computer modeling to regress star positions to that winter solstice dawn. Key findings include:
Approximately 46 stars are visible, corresponding to the brightest stars and major constellations visible from Tepeyac Hill at the time.
The arrangement matches the pre-dawn sky, including northern constellations
Remarkably, the view is inverted—as if observed from above (from heaven looking down toward Earth), with north-south axes rotated about 90 degrees counterclockwise. This perspective aligns with a divine viewpoint rather than a terrestrial one.
Symbolic constellations enhance the message: Corona Borealis (Northern Crown) crowns her head, Virgo (the Virgin) rests over her heart/womb area, and Leo (the Lion, symbol of Christ) appears nearby.
To the Aztecs, stars represented divine powers; Mary’s mantle thus proclaimed her as Queen of Heaven, surpassing celestial deities. The exact timestamping of the solstice sky (a key Aztec festival day) bridged cultures, aiding evangelization.
Some interpretations link the 46 stars to the number of popes since the apparition or note musical harmonies when stars/flowers are mapped to notes via the golden ratio—producing harmonious melodies—but these remain more interpretive than strictly scientific.
Enduring Mystery and Significance
The tilma defies easy explanation. While skeptics attribute some claims to pareidolia, exaggeration, or unverified tests, the cumulative evidence—from fabric durability to astronomical precision and ocular reflections—has led many researchers to conclude the image transcends human artistry. The Catholic Church venerates it as miraculous, drawing millions of pilgrims annually.
Whether viewed through faith or scientific curiosity, the Tilma of Our Lady of Guadalupe remains a profound symbol of divine intervention, cultural unity, and mystery. Its stars continue to shine as a celestial witness to an event that changed history.
“Am I not here, I, who am your mother? Are you not under my shadow and protection? Am I not the source of your joy? Are you not in the hollow of my mantle, in the crossing of my arms?”
